Edit 24/1/2010: I've removed the Shinx evolutions and Raikou. Thanks to everyone who corrected me^^
But I won't remove Suicune, it's too similar to a wolf (Bulbapedia says that it's based on a maned wolf, and its way of running in based on a cheetah) and so I won't remove Entei, because, again, Bulbapedia says that it's a lion-like creature that bears resemblans to a Mastiff, and Wikipedia.it says, in the "pokédex category" that "when it barks, it makes volcanoes erupt"
Absol is the first because it is my favourite one!
I've used the habitat of the pokémons as background, and the colour around the name is the colour of the type (dark blue for dark, red for fire, light blue for water, beige for normal, etc...).
Tell me if I missed someone.

Poochyena and Mightyena are based on hyenas which aren't canines, Suicune is based on the Qilin which is also known as the Chinese unicorn, it has characteristics of different animals like the chimera. Absol is based on the Bai Ze which is a Chinese mythical creature that resembles a big cat with horns and they predict disasters. And I guess Entei is a hybrid of canine but not a proper one, its based on foo lions.
